Siti Nurhaliza - Lentera Timur
Lentera Timur was released on 26 December 2008, the 13th album of Siti Nurhaliza, a renowned singer of Malaysia. British Press called her ‘Asia’s Celine Dion’ due to her powerful vocals and excellent performances Lentera Timur has modern and contemporary songs, unlike Siti’s traditional genre. of Siti worked with well-known composers like M. Nasir and Katon Bagaskara, who is from Indonesia in this album. The initial development of this album started in 2006, but was later released in 2008 due to lack of materials. Despite of the late release, this malay-song album never disappoints the supporters.
Siti Nurhaliza proved herself in Anugerah Industri Muzik 16 by winning Best Top Ethnic and honoured Album of The Year in AIM 16 with Lentera Timur. She also took home Best Female Vocals trophy for the song ‘Di Taman Teman’ which was recorded in this album.
