Instant Portuguese Style Steamed Fish Sauce
There is a Portuguese settlement in Malacca, Malaysia and they are mixed of Portuguese with Malay or Indian ancestry during the Portuguese colonial a few hundred years ago. Portuguese resides in Malacca is known for their cuisine and is a tourist spot for food in Malaysia.
With the mixed ancestry, the Portuguese food has also been mixed with the Malays and Indians with herbs, spices and chilies. Mak Nyonya Portuguese Style Steamed Fish Sauce is a well known dish in the Portuguese Settlement in Malacca, Malaysia. It’s spicy and tasty and yet delivers the aroma and flavor as it’s wrapped with aluminium foil or banana leaves to maintain or enhance the taste of the steam fish.
Ingredients :-
Onion, Lemongrass, Chili, Torch Ginger, Sugar, Salt and Palm Oil.
Non Colouring.
Cholesterol Free.
Cooking Method :-
To Steam :
Get a 800gm of fish and pour in 1 packet Mak Nyonya Instant Portuguese Style Steamed Fish Sauce. Let it steam for 15 minutes and serve hot.
To Fry :
Fry 800gm of prawn, squid or seafood together with Mak Nyonya Instant Portuguese Style Steamed Fish Sauce for 10 minutes. Add in 200ml water (1/2 cup water). Continue cook until boil and serve hot.
To Grill :
Pour over 800gm of fish with Mak Nyonya Instant Portuguese Style Steamed Fish Sauce. Wrap with aluminium foil and put into pan to bake or grill until cooked. Remove the aluminium foil and serve hot with lime juice and onion.
