Heong Peah

Heong Peah is the famous pastry biscuit among the Chinese in Malaysia. It originated from Ipoh, Malaysia. Heong Peah means fragrant pastries in English. The pastry is the shape of a flattened round ball with a chewy sweet malt in the centre. It is best taken when it is hot when the malt is sticky and soft. The pastry is a flaky baked crust and easily flakes off when you bite on it.

It is a must buy for all tourist whom have been to Ipoh, Malaysia. It is a souvenir to bring home for family and friends. Nowadays, you can get Heong Peah in other cities in Malaysia.

Ingredients :-
Wheat Flour, Maltose, Oil, Sesame, Onion and Sugar.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place.

Note : To freshen the biscuits and make it even more delicious, bake in microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. Let stand 2 minutes before serving.
