Chikuteh
Bak kut teh
means “meat bone tea” in English. While, ‘chickuteh’ here is something similar to bak kut teh, yet it is served with chicken meat. Claypot ‘Chickuteh’ herbs and spices mix highlights the blend of delicate aroma and flavours of natural herbs. We can add other ingredient to add taste to the soup like mushrooms and garlic and tastes more delicious. Generally, it takes quite a long time to cook meat with herbal soups. Ingredients :-
Polygonatum Odoratum, Angelica Sinensis, Codonopsis Pilasulau, White Pepper, Rehmania Glutinosa, Rhizoma Lingustici, Glycyrrhiae Preparata, Cinnamomum Aromaticum, Radix Panax Ginseng and Star Anise.
To Prepare :
- Put in the 2 filter bags (do not open the bags) in 1500ml of water for 30mins.
- Add the 1kg chicken (duck or others), 2pieces whole garlic, 1 tablespoon thick soya sauce and salt to the boiling water.
- Simmer for at least 1 hour.
